PLA-R6L

PLA-R6L is a RFID proximity card reader from the MIFARE® Classic, Plus, Ultralight, DESFire, ICODE, ISO1443A/B, ISO15693 families operating at 13.56MHz. Additionally, it has the ability to read CSN from iCLASS and LEGIC transponders.



Reader is equipped with 1-Wire® interface (Dallas DS1990 emulation), Wiegand and serial UART (CMOS), RS-232 (CMOS). The reader is equipped with a 1m long cable terminated with a male 2x3-pin Molex MicroFit3.0 plug. The reader has a built-in antenna, buzzer and two LEDs. It has been designed in accordance with the requirements of the E-mark automotive safety standard.

PLA-R6L is the direct successor of the PLA-MDL reader, which goes into EOL status and is not recommended for use in new applications.

Reader has the following functionalities:

  • iCLASS and LEGIC CSN (Chip Serial Number) read support,
  • Option to read transponder memory,
  • Anti-collision support for MIFARE®,
  • 1-Wire® interface (DS1990 emulation) and Wiegand,
  • UART (CMOS), RS-232 (CMOS) serial interfaces,
  • Configurable Wiegand interface,
  • Low energy consumption,
  • Wide range of input supply voltage,
  • Built-in antenna, buzzer and two LEDs,
  • Software update via interface,
  • Configuration using a button or a protocol,
  • Compact, flat housing,
  • Compatible with CardIdCoder software.
  • Designed in accordance with the requirements of E-mark.
