RFID transponders

RFID transponders

Transponders, also known as "tags", "markers", "identifiers", are information carriers containing credentials that grant users the rights specified in the RFID application. Transponders allow to gain access to functions or guarded zones - buildings, individual rooms, or only lockers, e.g. in cloakroom systems at swimming pools, fitness clubs, or turnstiles at metro stations.

Transponders can be divided into passive, i.e. those that operate within the range of the electromagnetic field generated by the reader, and active, which, thanks to being equipped with batteries, can generate a field, significantly increasing the range of its operation. The profit from the range of active tags also has its cost in the form of periodic battery replacement.
